LUCY MACISAAC
STUDIO OWNER / TEACHER / CHOREOGRAPHER

Lucy MacIsaac has been teaching and choreographing all ages and levels since 1999. She is a highly accredited instructor and holds an CDTA acrobatics associate certification and CDTA Licentiate Ballet certification (Canadian Dance Teachers Association), as well as professional certifications in Alixa Flexibility, Acrobatic Arts, and is a competitive adjudicator through the Professional Adjudicators Alliance (PAA).
Lucy has continued her own training by travelling around Canada and the USA taking part in the highest level industry events, training with the likes of Mia Michaels, Wade Robison, Laurieann Gibson, Brian Friedman, Stacey Tookey, Dave Scott, and completing two teacher training intensives with the Pulse International/Broadway Dance Center.
Lucy was the owner of a competitive studio the “Lucy Wintermans School of Dance” for 18 years during which time she won hundreds of top mark, choreography, and overall awards, before closing during the pandemic. Throughout her career she has been a sought after choreographer for theatre productions, musicals, pageants, and fashion shows, and continues to travel around the province teaching workshops, doing guest choreography, and judging competitions.
Lucy is the owner of Area - a Community Studio, a colaborative studio spacein Sydney River, NS, which is now home to Dance Artistry/Dance Artistry Competitive.
Lucy MacIsaac is the main instructor and choreographer for DA/DAC and teaches competitive ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, musical theatre, all ballet exam levels, acro, pointe, flexibility, ITD 1 & 2, Baby Ballet, and mini hip hop. She is also available for solo, duo, trio, and small group choreography.

JANAYA O'TOOLE
Janaya O’Toole has had a passion for dance from a very early age. She danced competitively across Canada and trained in both Halifax and Cape Breton before deciding to become a dance teacher. Janaya loves teaching and dancing various styles including jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and modern, but is especially gifted as a hip hop dancer. She is excited to be joining us as again this year as an assistant teacher and our Adult Hip Hop teacher/choreographer and can’t wait to create some amazing pieces for Dance Artistry Competitive.
Janaya is available for solo, duo, trio, and small group choreography in various styles for all ages.
